Zsofia

Born in a musical family, daughter of a conductor father and classical soprano mother, her path was obvious. She learned how the play the piano for 15 years and cello for 12 years. Had voice lessons in the manner of the Italian “Bel Canto” - aka in the US “Speech Level Singing”. This is also the approach she uses in her teaching.


Master of Music dual degree in Choir Conducting and Music Education at The Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest, Hungary.


Performing experience in various 

styles: jazz, pop, rock, gospel, 

musical and classical for more 

than 30 years. 

Veteran recording artist, 

participating at over 

ten CDs as lead and background 

vocalist.



Former Adjunct Professor at the Music Department at Western Oregon University. Guest vocal professor through WOU at the Guangxi Art University in Nanning, China in 2017 and 2018.


Currently she teaches voice and piano at her music studio in SW Portland and is

an Adjunct Jazz Voice Professor at Lewis and Clack College.
